Temple Heart & Vascular Institute to Host Heart Failure Awareness Week Events

The month of February marks American Heart Month with the second week of the month designated as Heart Failure Awareness Week. The Temple Heart & Vascular Institute will be hosting a series of educational events for the public, including a heart healthy cooking demonstration & lunch and laughter yoga, which helps reduce stress and is a fun way to promote heart wellness.

The events are designed to raise awareness about the epidemic of heart failure and to provide individuals guidance on how they can take an active role in maintaining heart health.

Dr. Eman Hamad, Medical Director of the Mechanical Circulatory Support Program at Temple University Hospital and Chair of Temple’s Heart Failure Awareness Committee, will be available for interviews.
